Gary Pittenger ::: Geologist ::: Amerex Corporation

Gary Pittenger, Geologist, graduated from Northeast Louisiana State College in Monroe, Louisiana in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology.  He received his Masters Degree in Geology in 1974 from the University of Arkansas.  In 1973 Mr. Pittenger went to work for Cities Service Oil Company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as an Exploration Geologist.  During his tenure with Cities Service, he discovered two Kansas oilfields defining many offsets.  In 1978 he was employed by Texas Oil & Gas Company (TXO) as a Development Geologist.  At that time, TXO was the largest independent oil and gas company in the United States and drilled more wells than any other oil company in the U.S.  Mr. Pittenger generated for Texas Oil & Gas 101 prospects of which 99 were producers.  In 1985 Mr. Pittenger formed Questa Energy Corporation where he served as President and drilled 34 wells, completing 33 as commercial producers.  Questa was merged into another oil and gas company and Mr. Pittenger became an oil and gas consultant from 1985 to 1992.  Mr. Pittenger is currently President of Pangae Exploration Corporation which he formed in 1992.  His company has generated many oil and gas prospects with a record of 123 wells drilled and 117 being commercially productive.  He is a member of many oil and gas associations and has contributed many oil and gas articles to publications involved in the industry
